our weekend

DSC_1979_edited-1 We had a really busy but great weekend last weekend. Stephen Galbraith (Eric's best friend since 6th grade) turned 30. We celebrated at his house in Atlanta which has a GREAT backyard (go figure..we live in Canton and have NO backyard, and they live in ATL and have an awesome one). The kids did not want to leave. They played so hard that they passed out on the way home. I promised myself I was going to enjoy my time there and not take pictures but I obviously failed to keep my promise. Apparently my kind of enjoyment is taking pictures. There were too many sweet moments to go unremembered. Stephen and Michelle's little boy is Sam and he is the most awesome kid. He LOVES to throw. He'll throw anything, just like his daddy (the quaterback). There are about 50 balls in his back yard, but he'll throw anything. A pinecone, pinestraw, a water bottle, you name it, he'll throw it. We had a really great time watching the kids run around and play. And I loved every minute of Sam. He is fun and sweet and enjoys life like no other. Good times were had by all....except Stephen who now realized his is no longer getting any younger.

Kaitlin went to the Science Olympiad competetion this weekend and had a blast. Her and her BFF, Jenna did competed together this year but did not place. Above is a picture of her running in the pentatholon event. They were bummed about not winning because they won last year out of 800 kids, but they got over it. It was a 6 hour event, so needless to say, we were glad we had Stephen's party afterward so we could have some fun and relax.
