Kaitlin's first recital

Today was Kaitlin first live performance in front of an audience. She had her first guitar recital, and she did great! I was about to throw up for her before hand though. I think I get more nervous for her than she gets for herself.....and she was NeRvOuS. She would not smile or talk before the performance, but she went up there shaking like a leaf and did it. Eric and I were so proud of her and Jack told me after the recital that he wanted to cry during her song. I guess that meant he was proud too!

It's cool to watch the progression of her nerves. She starts off slow and nervous and and then messesd up, laughs it off, and speeds up super fast afterwards. Then she realizes that it's not so bad being up there on stage....and maybe she is pretty good, and decides to end with a bang of confidence. I really do get excited thinking about where she'll take this. She has such BIG dreams. Oh.... to be a kid with big dreams!

They had to dress up in their Halloween outfits for the show. This year she is reverting back to her younger days and being Strawberry Shortcake. Cute, ha?
