We had a great first day in Nashville. After we checked into the hotel we walked around downtown and shopped, and then ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe'. This guy sits on the corner of the street with his dogs and takes money from strangers who want a picture with them. Yes...we were those strangers. I could not get enough of them. They had many people laughing.

Kaitlin was giddy all day. Mom and I discovered that she loooooves hotels. All 3 of us do. We had just as much fun hanging out laughing in the hotel than we did sight seeing. I really like this city. It's kind of a mixture between Athens, GA and New Orleans. There is so much flavor and LIFE. We will have to go back so we can do all of the other things we missed out on for lack of time.

We saw so many people singing on the city streets. It's really what seperates Nashville from other cities. We tried to get Kaitlin to do it but she felt too overwhelmed. I'm pretty suire she would have attracted quite an audience.

Loved having mom time. It's been so long. I forgot how much fun she is and how much I LOVE to be with her. I haven't laughed so hard in months. She made the trip so much fun!

We seriously considered buying these hats and wearing them the entire time we were in town, but we couldn;t justify spending $40.00 on HATS. We need YaYa to be there to find us a bargain.

The weather was beautiful. The hotel was quiet. The laughter added years to our lives. It was a perfect day.
