Our labor day weekend was eventful, relaxing, and really just plain wonderful. We did exactly what I wanted to do, which was not much at all. Our friend Bobby and his beloved dog, Mini, spent the weekend with us. Jack is head over heels in love with mini. They were a sweet pair. We hung out with neighbors and family, ate lots of food, and watched football.

And yes, Jack spent the weekend loving on mini, and somehow he managed to squeeze in some time with his friends and family.

(blurry, but beautiful, ha?)

I got some much needed photography time. I have been meaning to really dig in a discover flickr and picnik and was amazed at what I found. A whole new world of digital editing and for only 24.95 a year, I can do everything that I need to do to my pictures and more....with simple and labeled buttons, like "60's", and "vignette", and "vibrance", and "boost" + a thousand more easy buttons that instantly change yor picture but allow you to change the levels. No messing around with hours of tutorials in Photoshop. I have only scratched the surface of what picnik editing has to offer, but I'm having so much fun playing! My favorites are focal point softening, rounding the edges, and words on pictures....so please bare with me as I go into over-kill on these fabulous tricks. I will move on at some point as I discover new tricks, but as with all editing lovers.....new tricks =over-use.

K got to spend some time with her friend and guitar buddy, Aspen. They ended up going hiking today in Helen. I am glad she did something outside on this beautiful day.

Most of my day was spent arguing with Jack over what to do. He had no interest in going outside unless it was to play basketball, and it had to be alone. We went outside...ball in hand...and disovered the whole street at the basketball court. He said he wanted to go back inside because he did NOT want to play with those people. This makes me very sad. I've prayed a lot about Jack and his inability to play with most children, but it's been a slow growth. He is very picky about who he spends his time with and doesn't enjoy playing outside in the neighborhood. I grew up outside, so I can't relate. I pray regularly that people will move in next door that quickly become our family and have children the same age as ours that get along perfectly...is that so much to ask? It happened once with the Edwards...it can happen again. I have faith. Do you hear me God? :) Please??
