This was such a perfect capture of our day. We shopped at Target for 2 hours. We were out of everything in the house, and we had needed to get school supplies, so we did it all in one torturous trip. 2 hours is just too long for Jack to be surrounded by stuff he wants to buy. He lost his mind by the time we got to the cash register, and it threw him over the edge when I wouldn't let him buy candy, so people stared. It didn't help that we all looked like we hadn't showered in weeks, and Jack was screaming to me that he wanted a new family....and it certainly didn't help that I asked a few strange women if they wanted to be his new mommy, but I was feeling weak, and tired, and I was in shock by how much money it costs to start a new school year. Everytime I heard the beep of another item being scanned, I cringed. Oh well. It's over.
