Carsyn and Camden spent the night with us tonight. This was a great moment that pretty much sums up why Carsyn comes over.....for Uncle Eric's cooking. The first thing she does when she walks in is ask what Uncle E is cooking for dinner. Then she sits at the bar and talks to us while dinner is being prepared. She asks a LOT of questions, and gives us many laughs. She bounces off to check on the boys and Kaitlin from time to time, but always ends up back in the kitchen asking how much longer till' dinner. She is NOT happy when I cook. She goes home and tells her mom how terrible dinner was and how she wished Uncle Eric would have cooked. It's rare that I even attempt to please her Princess-esk pallet, but sometimes I have to, and she's always less than thrilled with whatever it is that I make. Eric LOVES that she loves his cooking. He thrives on the attention she gives his meals. It's a sweet thing........the bond Eric and "Carsy Malarsi" (as Eric calls her) have over food. I know she will look back when she's a grown woman and remember all the times in the kitchen with Uncle E.
