Every year, my family and I go to Yaya and PawPaw's house and celebrate Christmas. It is always fun, always chaotic, and always full of laughter and good food, and great company. Yaya (Yvette, my awesome step mother who has been married to my father for 15 years) shops all year for the big event.....much like my MIL (Beth). My mom, sister, and I are last minute Lucy's. She puts her whole heart and soul into Christmas....and let me explain how. She has SIX children, and EIGHT grandchildren, and she gives us ALL a FULL Christmas. She goes out of her way to make sure she finds the best and most appropriate gifts for each person, and let me tell you.....her and Paw Paw's house looks like Santa's workshop when everything is wrapped. She also cooks for the entire family each year, decorates her house like something out of a magazine, and gives everything she has for all of her children each year. Christmas at Yaya and Paw Paw's is a BIG event. And when I tell her it's too much, she laughs and says "This is who I am." And it is. Cindy and I heavily depend on our annual purses.....complimets of YaYa's closet.....a year round collection of stuff yaya buys on sale and collects to give to all of us this time of year. She is a proffesional shopper, if you ask me. And we LOVE her taste in purses. She also finds great deals on clothes ans toys, in which we all benefit from. It's a big time at PawPaw and YaYa's each year, and we always have lots of stories! This year Paw Paw made the kids work for their gifts. He decided to do a scavenger hunt. They created clues that the kids would all know and sent them on a wild goose chase for their gifts. It was AWESOME. The kids had a blast and it made each gift all the more special. Good idea Paw Paw! Good times were had by all. We love you guys!!!! Thank you for the immense amount of work it takes each year to put together such a night for us. We had a blast and loved every minute. And thank you for your insane generosity!!!!! We are so thankful!!! God is smiling down on you! Words cannot express how thankful we are to gather as a family each year and celebrate together. I feel this way about each and every family gathering. Merry Christmas!
