kkreflection

Kailtin is back to normal as of this afternoon. Nana stayed home with her today because I had to take two days off this week already. They had a great time snuggling and spending time together. Nana is the best when you are sick because hse is a major snuggler and will snuggle with you and tickle your back all day. I remember faking sickness on a regular basis growing up because I loved the one on one attention she gave me. I was one of four kids......I did what I had to do! We are lucky to have help when things get ugly around here. Mama is always there to make chicken homemade chicken soup and run the kids around and Nana is always there to pick them up in a hurry and snuggle on the couch. I say this a lot....but I would not want to raise my kids without family. My friends Kelly and Jennifer say that you just depend heavily on your friends. It really does take a village to raise a child. Anyway, we are glad to get back to normal life. It's such a blessing to be able to live a normal life. I've learned that from reading about celebrities and hospital patients, and I am reminded of that every time one of us gets sick. It's take weeks to recover from a few off days. Everything gets thrown off. Now I am looking so very forward to my date night with Eric tomorrow night!!!! Once again, thank goodness for family. Babysitters are so expensive. We would never go anywhere if we had to pay for a babysitter!

{i love this photo of kaitlin but i have no idea how it looks. i am editing on another loner monitor. i plan to come back and re-edit this one when i get mine back (for the 2nd time) because i like it so much}

  1. Hey Girl! I am so glad to hear Kaitlin is feeling back to her normal self. I know it must be hard when your whole house has been hit by the bug, YUCK! I know you were so happy to have your mom help you out today, it has to be hard when you need to be at work but have sick kids at the same time...

    I was just thinking today, how I so wish my mom was close by. I had a breakdown earlier, just very overwhelmed with trying to get Ansley's big girl room done as well as the nursery!!!

  2. Love this picture of Kaitlin! She looks so beautiful in such a natural way and you did such a great job catching her reflection with the table! Very neat!!

    Glad that your house is on the upswing of this nasty bug. I hate when the fam gets sick and momma gets sick...it makes for very long days and nights! You are right, it is wonderful to have family so close. I would give anything to have that but since we can't do much about being in ATL right now we just make do. You learn to rely heavily on friends and your significant other. Datenights don't come very often...I wish I was a babysitter in this day in age -- I would be rich!

    Here is to a wonderful healthy weekend for your family! Hope you and Eric have a great datenight. :)

  3. the photo looks gorgeous already on my monitor! and i try to explain to our friends that we don't go out because we CAN'T, not b/c we don't like them anymore. where it used to cost us maybe $25-$30 to go out, now it's triple that! just not worth it anyway to stay up late when your wake up time will be the same regardless. hope you get to sleep in after your date night!
