Stephen and Michelle's daughter turned one today, so we got to spend some time with their awesome families. I love those people. I always feel like I am with my own family when I am with them. They are so down to earth. I wish we got to see them more often. This picture cracks me up. It says so much about our kids. Jack had a really good time but you would never know it by the look on his face. He loves to make miserable faces in pictures. Hmmmmm. That must be genetic. I got so tired of taking pictures with Eric in our younger days (because he wouldn't smile) that I refused to be in pictures with him for several years out of embarrasment.
Every year Michelle gets a picture of the whole party. It's a tradition I wish I would have started years ago. This year she made owl masks for everyone to wear. I had to get a shot of the set up process.
My favorite picture of the day by far. Sam, Stephen's 4 year old son, had a rough day. He ended up freaking out over spilling water on himself and stripping down to his skimpies. I captured this moment when Kailtin was trying to rationalize with him during one of his meltdowns. I remember this age with Jack. I kept thinking "A couple more years and he will be out of ths emotionally charged irrational tantrum stage." Still waiting on that one.
I love this shot of Jack biting his lip. He makes this face when he gets nervous or excited, and he puts his hands behind his back. It's so Jack.
Happy Birthday Anna! We love the Galbraith crew.
